Different Flavours for Iftar If you think that Iftars only consist of Mezze and grilled meats, or if your jaded palate needs pepping up, be sure to visit Wok It in Bur Dubai to sample the dishes that those in the Far East enjoy to break their lengthy fast. From Iftar until 9.00pm Wok It is serving a sumptuous Iftar buffet. Dishes are cooked in small quantities and brought to the buffet straight from the wok steaming hot, so that every dish is freshly presented, and frequently replenished. At AED85 person, start with the familiar dates, juices, water and tea. Try the daily soups, such as Bakso Soup - meatballs with egg noodles, rice noodles and bok choy, beansprouts, celery and fried shallots. Other delicacies are Kolak banana and sweet potato cooked in palm sugar with a hint of cinnamon, Gado Gado – steamed vegetables with a sauce of peanuts ground by mortar and pestle , Bakmie Goren – wok fried noodles with fresh scrambled egg, chicken or seafood, and Beef Rendang – a traditional beef or chicken stew served with jasmine rice, tropical salad and sambal ijo. Dessert includes the house speciality street food Martabak Manis (exclusive to Wok It in Dubai), and Es Cendol – traditional pandan jelly with palm syrup and coconut milk. If buffets aren't your thing, from 9.00pm until 01.00 Chef Yerson Behi and his team are serving the A La Carte menu, and items can also be ordered to take away to have for Suhour at home later.
