Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department Announces Ramadan working hours


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, July 8th 2013 [ME NewsWire]: The Ministry of Interior has announced working hours at the Residency, Foreigners Affairs and Naturalization Departments in the State; in two shifts, morning from 9 am to 2 pm and evening, from 2 pm to 6 pm, in all customer service centers in the state.  This aims to ensure a rapid completion of all customers' transactions and to avoid work pressures and overcrowding of customers during the holy month of Ramadan.

Major General KhalifaHareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports, stated that the amended working hours for Ramadan come in line with the higher leadership's directives to enhance the level of customer service, and reinforce the concepts of the total quality management. This also embodies the strategy of the naturalization, residence, and ports sector to provide distinguished services to the public, as well as to alleviate the burden on customers, to ensure a smooth workflow in keeping with the rules of quality and excellent performance, to serve the largest possible number of customers.

Al Khaili also praised the efforts of the personnel working in those departments and their diligent response to the new directives, out of their keenness to provide the best services to the public.

Concluding, Al Khaili expressed his warm congratulations and blessings to the higher leadership on the advent of Ramadan, praying Allah Almighty to bless them with good health and wellness. In addition, he congratulated the people of the UAE on this glorious occasion.
