Major General Al Nuaimi: There is a needtoidentifyand spreadbestpracticesacross sectors

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, June 30th 2013 [ME NewsWire]: The first annual forum on Specialized CoordinatingCommitteesat the Ministry of Interior, which is organized by the Department of High Committees, discussed today the committees' role to support upgrading police and service work. The meeting was held in the Criminal EvidenceDepartment's conference room at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquartersin the presence ofMajor General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

 Major General Al Nuaimi stressedthe importance ofthecoordinating committees'role in the application ofvariousinternational standards with regard to fieldwork. The coordinating committees include representatives from specialized sectors across all emirates.

He reiterated the need toidentify the ministry's best practicesandcirculate these practices toallsectorsand departments.

The participants in the forum confirmed the importance ofthe results achieved by the coordinating committeesin the development ofpolice and service work. Major Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai and President of the Coordinating Committeefor Residency Affairs, praised the support of Major General NasserLakhrebaniand the motivation he extended to all coordinating committees' chairmen and members. He explained that the committees' work willleadtomoredevelopmentinvarioussectorsoftheMinistry of Interior.

Brigadier GeneralAmirMohammadAl Muhairi,Deputy Director General ofPolice Operationsat Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and Chairman ofthe Coordinating Committeefor overallkeycenters, pointed out that the ideas put forward in the forum reflect the committees' developmental efforts; these efforts are in line with the senior leadership's directives and are a result of the attention it gives to these committees.
 
Colonel Suleiman Mohammed, Chief of Al Rams section at theRas Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters and the Border Centers Coordinating Committee Chairman, said that the forumillustrates theplanningpursued bythe senior leadershipin establishing the strategy of the coordinating committees' policy, noting that it was able to realize further achievements and proposals. The committeesput this success into action; these accomplishments areamong the developmental efforts for securityandpoliceworkto provide better public services.

Colonel Majid Salem Al Nuaimi, Head of the Operations Department at the Ajman Police General Headquarters and Chairman of the Operation Rooms Coordinating Committee, said that the forum has achievedthedesiredobjectivesin the development of the coordinating committees'work in the next phase. He added that these committeesare always working to make suggestionsandrecommendationsthat serve the pursuit of excellence, which has become a specific characteristicof the Ministry of Interiorand the policein the UAE.
