Dubai, U.A.E – 15 April 2026: Range Rover marks two decades of sporting luxury with Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition; a considered celebration of design lineage and performance pedigree. The limited run TWENTY Edition launches with bespoke 'TWENTY' detailing, flagship powertrains and performance seats drawn from Range Rover Sport SV.

Range Rover Sport emerged from a pivotal moment in automotive history – born from the realisation that the market was ready for more dynamic, performance orientated SUVs. Its arrival also marked a defining shift for Range Rover, signalling the brand's evolution into a family of vehicles. Since its debut in the early 2000s, Range Rover Sport has continued to evolve with purpose – redefining SUV design, embracing hybrid innovation, conquering pioneering performance challenges and appearing in unforgettable cinematic moments.

Range Rover Sport Design evolution

Over three generations, Range Rover Sport has evolved from its muscular, performance‑focused origins into a modern expression of reductive luxury. The first‑generation model introduced a bold, purposeful stance inspired by the iconic Range Stormer concept, while the second generation refined the silhouette with sleeker lines, a lighter aluminium architecture and a more dynamic profile. Range Rover Sport surpassed one million global sales in this period, confirming it as a modern luxury performance icon. Today's Range Rover Sport represents the purest interpretation yet, defined by clean surfaces, taut proportions and a confident, contemporary aesthetic that balances athleticism with unmistakable Range Rover sophistication.

Two decades of driving challenges

Over its 20-year journey, Range Rover Sport has consistently proved its capability in the face of daunting tests. In 2013, the second-generation model set a new production SUV record at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in the USA, and five years later became the first vehicle to drive up the 999 steps of Heaven's Gate in China, overcoming low-grip conditions and 45-degree inclines in an impressive showcase of traction, control and composure. In other feats, Range Rover Sport set the fastest time on an 800km drive across the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia and, for the reveal of the third-generation car, defied a torrent of water to drive 193m up the Kárahnjúkar Dam in Iceland.

Technological innovations

Perfectly incorporating Range Rover's pioneering all-terrain technologies such as Terrain Response and Hill Descent Control while developing an increased on-road dynamic focus, Range Rover Sport has evolved while maintaining its refined but exhilarating driving experience.

The first-generation Range Rover Sport was notable for technology such as the Dynamic Response electrohydraulic anti-roll control system and Brembo braking system on V8 models. The introduction of the revered eight-speed ZF automatic transmission enabled smoother, more refined gear shifts and a performance uplift in line with Range Rover Sport's driving DNA.

Amongst the highlights of the second generation was the launch of the genre-defining 550PS Range Rover Sport SVR in 2014 – the first car launched from the historic SVO division, intended to showcase the highest levels of performance engineering – and the innovative 2014 Range Rover Sport Hybrid with its patented powertrain control systems.

In 2023, the 635PS Range Rover Sport SV debuted as the performance flagship in the Range Rover Sport line-up. The most powerful and dynamic Range Rover Sport ever, blending supreme performance, dynamism and luxury with Range Rover capability thanks to its 6D Dynamics suspension system, eight-piston Brembo Octyma calipers and high-performance options including carbon fibre wheels and carbon ceramic brake discs, as well as sensory audio Body and Soul Seats (BASS).

TWENTY Edition

Celebrating two decades since the first full year of production, the TWENTY Edition introduces elevated exterior details, refined interior features and a choice of high-performance powertrains.

Drawing inspiration from the original 'Stormer' orange Range Stormer concept, and the Vesuvius Orange First Edition Range Rover Sport, TWENTY Edition is available in a bold, ultra-metallic Sanguinello Orange finish1 –continuing a colour signature that has been woven into every iteration of the model.  A further paint palette including Santorini Black1 and Ostuni White1 offers modern, athletic exterior finishes.

A Black Exterior Pack creates a stealthy silhouette, complemented by 'TWENTY' etching and 23-inch Gloss Sparkle Silver Wheels, or optionally Gloss Black. Inside, illuminated 'TWENTY' treadplates and 'TWENTY' centre console scripting mark this exclusive edition.

The interior features Ebony Windsor seats drawn from the performance flagship Range Rover Sport SV. Lightweight, sculpted and inspired by motorsport, they combine precision engineered ergonomics with luxury craftsmanship. Forged carbon veneers and a black suedecloth headlining bestow a dynamically dark ambience on the cabin.

TWENTY Edition's powertrain options underscore the performance-driven ethos that characterises the model. The 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 mild hybrid petrol engine provides effortlessly dynamic performance, producing 540PS.

Martin Limpert, Global Managing Director, Range Rover, said: 'Range Rover Sport has continually pushed the boundaries since the Stormer concept was first revealed. Over two decades it has proven itself as a highly capable luxury SUV with sports-car DNA and the TWENTY Edition is the perfect celebration of its enduring legacy. This limited edition adds to that momentum, capturing an exciting moment in a journey that's far from finished for Range Rover Sport.'

Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition is available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Morocco.
