Dubai, UAE, 12 December 2025: On 18 December, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will host the iconic Arab artist Marcel Khalife in a cultural discussion session, Melodies Pulsing With Arabic. In celebration of World Arabic Language Day and to promote Arabic culture and literature, the session will allow the audience to experience the beauty of classical Arabic poetry that Khalife composed and sang.
Moderated by writer Reem Alkamali, the session will explore the intersection of poetry and music, and the importance of the Arabic language in contemporary art and culture. The discussion will also focus on the role of the arts in transmitting cultural values and strengthening Arab identity, in addition to reviewing Khalife's long and distinguished career in enriching the Arab art scene through music and poetry.
Khalife will present musical and vocal performances that interact with the spirit of the Arabic language. He will perform the most prominent classical Arabic poems that he composed and sang, to reflect the relationship between music and Arabic poetry, and offer the audience a rich and diverse artistic experience.
