Dubai Airshow 2025 to make history as eVTOLs join flying display line-up

eVTOLs are set to feature in the largest-ever display of aircraft, showcasing the future of urban mobility in action

DUBAI, UAE – 6 November2025 – In a Dubai Airshow-first, electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft are planned to take to the skies as part of the flying display, marking a defining moment for the event and for the future of aviation. This landmark addition will give visitors a front-row seat to the evolution of urban mobility, as pioneering electric aircraft demonstrate the agility, innovation and disruptive potential set to transform how the world moves.

The historic showcase comes as Dubai Airshow prepares to deliver its most ambitious edition yet. More than 200 aircraft will feature across the flying and static displays – the largest in the event's history – spanning commercial, military, private jets, UAVs and next-generation technologies. Visitors can expect a dynamic programme of aerial displays and demonstrations that celebrate progress and push the boundaries of flight.

The introduction of eVTOLs into the flying display also aligns seamlessly with Dubai Airshow's enhanced focus on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) this year. The 2025 edition will feature the largest and most diverse AAM showcase to date, highlighting rapid advances in infrastructure, regulation and certification that are accelerating this new era of aviation. By spotlighting AAM, Dubai Airshow reinforces its role as a global testbed for innovation and a platform where the future takes flight.

Tim Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets, said: “Every edition of Dubai Airshow is an opportunity to raise the bar for the global aerospace community – to bring more innovation, more ambition, and more inspiration to the world stage. The introduction of eVTOLs into the flying display exemplifies this spirit. It goes beyond showcasing aircraft; it's about demonstrating what's possible when vision, technology and collaboration converge. Dubai Airshow 2025 will set the pace for the industry's future and reaffirm Dubai's role as a platform for the next era of aviation.”

Several aircraft will make their Dubai Airshow debut as part of the flying and static display line-up. COMAC will present its C919 and C929 commercial and business aircraft in the Middle East for the first time, while the Embraer KC-390 Millennium will be featured once again in the static display - a state-of-the-art multi-mission military transport aircraft that brings unrivalled mobility, airfield operation flexibility, and the highest technology levels at low operational costs. The programme will also showcase cutting-edge aircraft from leading global manufacturers, including the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777 219ER, alongside a diverse mix of commercial, military and private aircraft that showcase the breadth and dynamism of global aviation.

Dubai Airshow 2025 will take place from 17–21 November at Dubai World Central (DWC), Dubai Airshow Site, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. With more than 1,500 exhibitors, 490 delegations and 350 speakers, and overall representation from over 98 countries, this year's edition is set to be the largest and most future-focused yet.
