Ski Dubai to Host 16th "Ice Warrior Challenge" on September 14

Dubai, UAE – August 28, 2025:

Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, is gearing up to host the 16th edition of the 'Ice Warrior Challenge' — one of the region's most anticipated icy endurance events — on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The event will take place inside the award-winning Ski Dubai Snow Park at the Mall of the Emirates, which is voted the World's Best Indoor Ski Resort.

This year's challenge has already seen record-breaking registration numbers, with limited spots remaining ahead of the September 12 deadline. Organizers expect tickets to sell out quickly via Premier Online due to overwhelming demand.

20+ Obstacles. One Epic Challenge.

The iconic snow arena at Ski Dubai will be transformed into an adrenaline-packed ice battleground, featuring over 20 obstacles designed to test participants' strength, stamina, and teamwork. Challenges include:

  • Climbing rope walls
  • Swimming through icy waters
  • Navigating monkey bars
  • Wheel races and net crawls
  • Squeezing through tunnels and mazes
  • Overcoming icy ramps and slippery hurdles

Each obstacle pushes competitors to their limits while promising an unforgettable experience in sub-zero temperatures.

Global Participation in a Unique Winter Setting

The Ice Warrior Challenge attracts participants from across the globe alongside UAE residents of all fitness levels and ages, ranging from 15 to 60 years old. Set against Dubai's world-class winter sports venue, the event offers an opportunity to:

  • Test endurance and mental toughness
  • Strengthening team spirit and collaboration
  • Enjoy a one-of-a-kind winter adventure in the heart of the desert

Last year's edition welcomed over 600 participants from 70 countries, and organizers expect even higher participation this year.

Three Race Categories

  • Elite Category (AED 280) – For advanced athletes aiming to complete the course in under 25 minutes.
  • Individual Category (AED 250) – Open to all fitness levels.
  • Team Category (AED 200 per participant) – For teams of five, promoting team building and collaboration.

New Spectator Experience

For the first time, Ski Dubai has introduced a Spectator Ticket priced at AED 50, giving family and friends prime viewing access to cheer on participants. The ticket also includes a complimentary hot beverage and access to designated viewing zones overlooking the obstacle course.
