Against the backdrop of an intensive science lab, performers unveil the mysteries of recycling to young audiences
Sharjah, November 09, 2022: Young visitors at the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) excitedly delved into the secret world of recyclable plastics at the interactive ‘Scienza Della Plastica' edutainment show hosted at the theatre, specially set up at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The fun-filled and educational show entertained young kids who entered the ‘Magic of Plastic Land' and were introduced to the basics of recycling.
The Italian theatre act featuring three fun-filled characters – Mr. Plastic, Professor Polymer and Ms. Polyester – took kids on an exciting journey into the world of machines that help compress soft and hard plastics to produce recyclable materials.
Through a range of mesmerising activities and curious science experiments packed with optical illusions, kids enhanced their understanding of the importance of recycling. The show taught children how two bottles can be used to make a plastic disc and seven bottles can produce a T-shirt while a fleece blanket would need 20 bottles.
Children channeled their “voice” to produce energy and burst open a toolkit during the performance. The event, held at the theatre, ended with a powerful light and laser show and photo opportunities for kids to snap pictures with the performers.
