Ajman University Bachelor of Law Earns Global Accreditation from HCERES

Ajman-UAE: July 26, 2020 – The Bachelor of Law program at Ajman University has been awarded “Five-Year Unreserved Accreditation” by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES), a French agency with a broad reach across Europe and around the world.

AU is now one of only 11 universities in the MENA region to have met the rigorous evaluation standards set forth by HCERES. Only one other institution in the UAE can claim the same distinction.

“Graduating from a HCERES-accredited program indicates a globally respected and benchmarked quality of law knowledge,” said AU Chancellor Karim Seghir. “Students with these credentials are highly regarded by employers around the world for their qualifications.”

Dr. Laroussi Chemlali, Dean of the program, said the achievement is a recognition of the high quality of AU's Bachelor of Law which was accredited by the UAE's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in 2005.

He further explained that being accredited by HCERES “increases competitiveness of our 132-credit hour program and enhances the visibility and reputation of Ajman University in the UAE, the GCC region and beyond.”

HCERES is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and is listed in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
