The agreement aims to promote healthy lifestyle for the community through sponsoring local and international sport events 
• ADSC first to partner with Agthia on new recycling and collection programme
 
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 23 February 2020: Agthia Group PJSC, one of the region's leading food and beverages companies, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) in the presence of H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mheiri, the UAE's Minister of State For Food Security, on the sidelines of Gulfood 2020, which is set to promote healthy lifestyles in the UAE. 
 
The strategic partnership agreement has been signed by H.E. Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC, and Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, Chief Executive Officer of Agthia, on the sidelines of Gulfood 2020. 
 
The 3-year agreement is set to encourage and promote   healthy lifestyle and active living for the  community . Furthermore, the MoU names Agthia as ADSC's official hydration partner in events across the UAE, providing nearly 3 million water bottles a year across local and international events to keep athletes hydrated in this harsh weather. Furthermore, ADSC has also been named the first partner to participate in Agthia's sustainability initiative to collect and recycle bottles water during the ADSC's events. ,. We are enabling consumers have the opportunity to take actions that support their healthy lifestyles and their efforts to preserve the environment.
 
H.E. Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC said: “We are proud to partner with Agthia to further support the UAE's vision in positioning Abu Dhabi as the sports destination capital of the world. This strategic agreement will place us at the front lines of healthy lifestyles and sustainability in the capital and we look forward to the positive impact this will create for families in Abu Dhabi and beyond.”
 
Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, CEO of Agthia said: “Our partnership with ADSC is a testament to our commitment to supporting healthy lifestyles and sustainability. Agthia is dedicated to expanding our collaborations with organizations who share similar values and we are excited to contribute to the UAE's communities through initiatives such as the ones outlined in our strategic partnership with ADSC.”
 
In addition, this MOU will enable  ADSC employees to benefit from Agthia's food distribution centers located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. 
 
Agthia's food distribution centers provide over 200 Agthia-made and alternative products at affordable prices to employees of various government and semi-government organizations as part of the Group's commitment to the community and health.
