A Great Hatta Experience

Sitting on the border with Oman, and being an exclave of Dubai, Hatta is a mountainous area that can allow adventurers to explore new horizons. This place benefits from fantastic scenery and it can offer a fun and laid-back experience for all visitors. It is a location that can be found less than 2 hours away from Dubai, and it is the perfect escape point for a weekend.

Tourists can have a lot of fun activities there during winter, from hiking to biking, or kayaking. You must know that in the summer it has a cool climate and it is worth visiting for that. Formerly part of Oman, the town of Hatta was given to Dubai around the year 1850. It is nowadays a popular place for families in Dubai as it offers an escape on hot summer days.

Getting to Hatta takes about 90 minutes if you drive from Dubai and a two-and-a-half-hour trip from Abu Dhabi. If you decide to take the public transport, the E16 bus from Dubai will take you there in just over two hours.

For such a small village Hatta is full of hotels, and one of the most popular of these is the Fort Hotel. Although not appearing on a recent list made by The Daily Telegraph, the Hatta Fort Hotel is the oldest ones in the area, and it is a 4-star resort. For that reason, it is ideal for families or romantic breaks.

If you're not looking to stay in a hotel, you can choose a caravan park, and the first-ever UAE caravan park is located inside the Hatta Wadi Hub. this park is great for families, and the caravans there have everything from fitted kitchens to flat-screen TVs, to fireplaces (that don't burn but look great).

For those that feel even more adventurous, there is another option in the form of the Damani Lodges, which are placed in a makeshift mountain town. These are small and cozy huts that come with everything a small group may need. They have the services of a hotel, but they are positioned higher in the mountains, for a different experience. Dune buggy drivers will get you there, for a fare, at every hour of the day.

Forbes also discussed how certain entrepreneurs in the Emirate world are trying to bring the American feel (or the California one to be more specific) to the Arab area, and to Hatta. There is even the plan to install a sign that writes HATTA on one of the hills, much like the Hollywood sign in California.

As you can see, Dubai is making efforts to make this place a wonderful one for visitors all-around the world. As a result, one can also benefit from a wide range of activities. One of the most popular things to do in Hatta is horseriding, as you can climb on a horse's back for a different vantage point over the beautiful mountainscape of the area.

While riding the beautiful Arabian horses you can see wonderful landscapes. It would be recommended to have a pair of binoculars with you for that occasion, and the Bushnell Equinox Z is a great choice for that as it allows you to hold it with one hand and also record if needed. Check this article to find more about Bushnell Equinox Z.

If you are the kind of person that enjoys mountain biking, the Hatta mountains offer some great routes for passionate people. With more than 30 miles of biking trails that come in various terrains in distances, the mountains of Hatta will be a great place to explore on two wheels.
