Under our “Forgotten Society” programme to help insolvent prisoners, I have started a new initiative to host Iftar events for prisoners who are unable to get release order due to incompletion of their jail term as per the court verdict. The iftar events will continue every year in various jails of the Emirates.”

He will also help to secure the release of a further 400 prisoners by year end. The total contributions, being made to give the unfortunate prisoners a second chance in life, is AED 1.5 million.
