Dubai, UAE, January 16, 2019: In line with its strategy of promoting arts and culture in the Sultanate, Al Mouj Muscat, Oman's leading Integrated Tourism Complex, hosted a photography exhibition titles 'Layers of Oman'. Focusing on the rich heritage, lifestyle and nature of ancient Oman, the exhibition showcased some of Oman's proudest moments and achievements.
Layers of Oman provides a compelling insight of Oman's past and present. It is a glimpse of its own - a raw, yet brave and authentic reflection of a genuine fusion between its people, land and architecture.
The exhibition saw three new books full of pictures being launched. The first book, called Layers of Oman, focuses on the different types of people, nature, heritage and culture of Oman, while the second book is a black and white version of the same. The third and final book, titled Reflection of the Past, looks at the richness of Oman & its cultural and historical influence in East Africa. All three books also have introduction pages written in six languages – Arabic, English, German, French, Russian and Chinese.
The exhibition aimed to present the old history of Oman to younger generations, showcasing some of the great moments of Omanis over the years. As well, it further highlights the bilateral relations between Oman and East Africa.
