Sharjah Social Services Department and Medcare Hospital Sharjah sign agreement to benefit health insurance holders

Range of Privileges for Health Insurance Card Holders who are affiliated to the Department

Dubai, UAE, 30 July 2018:   The Sharjah Social Services Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Medcare Hospital Sharjah, to provide Health Insurance Card Holders affiliated to the Department with a range of privileges and deductions on the healthcare services provided by the Hospital.  

The agreement was signed by Kholoud Abdullah Al-Ali, Director of Homecare Management at Social Services Department, and Dr. Amira Zoheir, Medical Director at Medcare Hospital Sharjah. 

The agreement signed at Medcare Hospital Sharjah stipulates that a deduction of 30 % shall be provided by the Hospital in favor of Health Insurance card holders who are affiliated to the Department for healthcare services and products. It also states that the Hospital shall provide a range of privileges on services not covered by Health Insurance. 

On the occasion, the Director of Homecare Management stated that signing the Agreement between Sharjah Social Services Department and Medcare Hospital Sharjah is a new start for providing health services for Health Insurance Card Holders who are affiliated to the Department. This partnership will also foster stronger relations between the two parties. 

Kholoud Al-Ali praised the administration of Medcare Hospital Sharjah for providing these privileges that seek to contribute and serve communities. The agreement reflects the benefits of Government and Private Sector partnerships with a shared vision to ensure a healthier and productive society.

Dr. Amira Zoheir, Medical Director at Medcare Hospital in Sharjah expressed “We are very pleased to enter into this agreement, as it is a significant step towards building a collaborative long-term partnership with the Sharjah Social Services Department. Though this agreement we will be granting privileges and health services for Health Insurance Card Holders who are affiliated to the Department to benefit their family and loved ones.”
