UAE, April 16, 2018 – The Board of Governors of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) recently assessed its bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain's Ministry of Education, with positive reviews to the significant steps being made by both parties in supporting the initiatives that will reshape the future of education based on smart technologies.

The extraordinary Board meeting came after a special meeting held between H.E. Majid Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council in Bahrain, and Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, to discuss the possibilities of establishing a major partnership that will enhance the education system in line with the needs of the 21st century.

H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the Board of Governors of HBMSU, led the special meeting which discussed the best ways to achieve the objectives of the bilateral cooperation between the two parties, including the introduction of elite academic programs and professional certificates from HBMSU in Bahrain.  He noted that scientific and educational cooperation is among the significant aspects that further strengthen the fraternal and historical relations between the UAE and Bahrain, which was highlighted in both parties' recent efforts to enhance the smart education sector and the opportunities for lifelong learning for all and instill a culture of innovation, quality and scientific research in the Arab World.
