UAE, 29 March 2018 - The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (DED-Ajman) was awarded the ‘Best Government Application – GCC' category of the Sharjah Government Communication Award, during the awarding ceremony held yesterday March 28, 2018 at the Al Majaz Amphitheater in Sharjah.

His Excellency Ali Eissa Al Nuaimi, Director General, DED-Ajman, said, “We are delighted and truly honored to receive the ‘Best Government Application – GCC' award. Our recently updated smart app demonstrates DED-Ajman's strategic direction to help achieve customer happiness while also reflecting our continuing support towards smart transformation, which is one of the top priorities of the Ajman government. Our smart app also represents a major step in the efforts to enhance government services and streamline processes and procedures using the latest technologies that can help build and maintain an ideal investment environment that can attract more investments to the emirate.”

DED-Ajman's winning smart application was recognized for its many features, including the online services that they offer via the department's website and through the smart app itself. The range of fully automated services cover the submission of applications to payment and delivery. The smart app also features a specially developed electronic assistant that can answer customer queries, a dashboard for easy navigation of the app and a barcode to help protect consumers. Customers can submit their comments and feedback by scanning the barcode that shows the data of the establishment in a quicker and more efficient manner.
