Abu Dhabi, 02 October 2017:  ADNOC Distribution, the sole operator of light vehicle inspection centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is upgrading the information technology systems at its 21 centers across the emirate.

The one-day upgrading operation will take place on Friday 6 October 2017. Consequently, service will be suspended that day at the four centers that usually operate on Fridays: namely, Abu Dhabi Main Center, Al Ain Main Center, Mahawi Center and Al Samha Center. Service will resume as usual the next morning on Saturday 7 October 2017.

Highlighting the importance of the upgrade, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said: “As a company, we are passionate about innovation that improves service, choice and convenience for our customers. The upgrade of our IT systems is another step forward in fulfilling that goal.”

Mr Al Rashdi added: “We continue to grow, and in the first eight months of this year, approximately 530,000 vehicles were processed at our vehicle inspection centers. This figure not only highlights the volume of our operations, but also encourages us to continue improving our service to cater for rising demand driven by increasing vehicle numbers.”

ADNOC Distribution has a contract with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to perform annual light vehicle inspections in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Our 21 inspection centers are located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Region and Al Dhafra Region.
