Mido's Baroncelli Prisma - A sparkling play of prisms enhanced by 51 diamonds

Dubai, UAE, September 6, 2017:  A new addition to the watchmaker Mido's flagship collection, the Baroncelli Prisma is the epitome of femininity. The centre of its round grained silver dial reveals a superb marquetry creation formed of 25 pieces of white mother-of-pearl applied individually by hand. This extraordinary play of prisms is enhanced by the 51 diamonds that trace the outline of this unique treasure. Beneath these delicate aesthetic details, the Baroncelli Prisma also houses a latest-generation automatic movement: the Calibre 80, which provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.

The Rennes Opera House is an operatic landmark characterised by its distinctive rounded architecture. The harmonious lines and subtle curves, typical of the neoclassical tradition, make it a particularly outstanding monument. The sophisticated forms of the Baroncelli collection pay tribute to the timeless elegance of this building. This collection, which epitomises Mido's watchmaking expertise, celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016.

With the Baroncelli Prisma, Mido introduces a timepiece that gleams with iridescent femininity and blends tradition with modernity. A contemporary reinterpretation of a classic jewellery creation, this timepiece features an elegant round case measuring 33 mm in diameter. The centre of its grained silver dial reveals a superb marquetry creation formed of 25 pieces of white mother-of-pearl applied individually by hand. This extraordinary play of prisms is enhanced by the 51 diamonds (totalling 0.117 carat) that trace the outline of this unique treasure. The sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides protecting the dial enables the finely crafted hands to be admired. The hour and minute hands are double-sided (one side sandblasted, the other diamond-cut), while the seconds hand is rounded diamond-cut. The window at 6 o'clock, meanwhile, displays the date. The subtly worked dial of this Baroncelli and its rounded forms are both nods to the timeless architecture of the Rennes Opera House.

The Braoncelli Prisma is priced at AED 3,950 and is available at Rivoli stores across the UAE.
