Abu Dhabi-UAE: 9 August, 2017:  Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal (EALL). The agreement aims to explore avenues of collaboration between the two parties through organizing a series of academic lectures and seminars on various legal topics, and enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience to benefit society.

Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Interim Chancellor of ADU, and Dr. Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi, President of EALL, signed the three-year MoU during a ceremony held at the University's Dubai campus. Dr. Ibrahim Sidawi, Director of ADU's Dubai campus, Aisha Al Tuneigi, Director General of EALL, and several other officials from both parties were also in attendance.

Dr. Waqar Ahmad said that ADU's commitment to establishing an effective network of strategic partners from local and international institutions stems from the University's continued drive to empower its graduates and boost their chances of excelling in their chosen careers. He also pointed out the important role these partnerships play in integrating academic knowledge with practical skills that students can gain through participation in seminars, courses and training programs.
Dr. Ibrahim Sidawi noted that perhaps the most important aspect of the MoU with EALL is the wealth of opportunities it offers talented UAE nationals pursuing postgraduate studies in any of the University's programs that cover a variety of law specializations. He added that the partnership will help raise awareness about the vital legal field and its impact on our daily lives.

For his part, Dr. Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi said: “We are delighted to partner with ADU, one of the largest educational institutions in the country. This MoU is the first step in a series of initiatives aiming to strengthen cooperation and partnership that will benefit law students, create an environment that fosters innovation and encourage our youth to participate in the nation's legal processes.”

ADU currently offers 44 internationally accredited academic programs, comprising 29 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate programs, at its two campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Dedicated to postgraduate studies, the upcoming Dubai campus will offer 14 academic programs including a Master of Private Law and a Master of Public Law.
