DUBAI – May 16, 2017: His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World, visited Conares headquarters and its steel production facilities in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). Mr. Bharat Bhatia, CEO of Conares received His Excellency and briefed him about the development on its expansion projects and the steel industry outlook in the UAE.
“The leadership of this country has given us the opportunity to set up our steel manufacturing facilities that bring out ‘Made in UAE' steel products. We are also happy in the support provided by JAFZA and DP World. With massive projects like Dubai Expo 2020, Marsa Al Arab and many others, the demand for steel in the UAE is growing. The UAE is self-sufficient to cater to the annual demand of steel in the UAE, where the local mills are optimistic to deliver this demand till 2021,” said Mr. Bhatia.
