Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 14 2017:  His Excellency Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for the Environment and Water of Resources of Singapore, visited The Sustainable City – the first Net Zero Energy city in Dubai and the Middle East's first operational sustainable community.

The Ministry party was led by His Excellency Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, who was joined by HE Samuel Tan, Ambassador of Singapore to the UAE and other delegations from the ministry and representatives from the National Environment Agency in Singapore. The group's visit included a tour around the residential clusters, the green spine, and the sustainable plaza.

Faris Saeed, Engineer and CEO at Diamond Developers – the real-estate company behind the Sustainable City – said: “We are honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr. Masagos Zulkifli to our city. We hope that this visit helps us exchange solutions and practices contributing towards sustainable developments, that are capable of dealing with climate change without wasting natural resources or impacting quality of life”

The Sustainable City has welcomed a number of official delegations from a number of different countries to observe a unique experience, including academic representatives and delegations from the UN. These visits aim to address opportunities that support the city's goals to cope with climate change, and continue to promote the development of sustainability in conjunction with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
