Nine UAE-based Filmmakers to Premiere Films at ‘Samsung SHRT Flm Cntest'

Celebrated director Majid Al Ansari mentors finalists 

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – December 5th 2016:  Acclaimed director Majid Al Ansari is currently mentoring nine candidates, finalists for the ‘Samsung SHRT Flm Cntest' in the lead up to the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The festival is taking place December 7 – 14, 2016 at Madinat Jumeirah. The short films, all filmed on the Galaxy S7 edge, will be premiered on The Beach opposite JBR Friday 09 Dec at 18:00 as part of a free open air screening. The winning entry will also be screened at the Short Film Corner during the 70th anniversary edition of Cannes Film Festival from May 17 to 28, 2017.
