Research shows region's companies more likely to suffer from cyber threats – ME attacks average out at 85%, versus global average of 79%

Businesses in the Middle East are more likely to suffer from cyber attacks when compared to their global counterparts, says latest research. A recent report found the regional average for cyber attacks on businesses stands at 85%, compared to a global average of 79%. In line with the mounting need for cyber security in the Middle East, security intelligence and analytics firm LogRhythm will showcase its award-winning Security Intelligence and Analytics Platform at this year's installment of the GITEX Technology Week.

“Our primary focus is to spread awareness on the importance of innovative security intelligence and analytics. To stop attacks from resulting in a data breach or any other cyber incident, organisations need a unified view into all threats,” explains Mazen Dohaji, regional director for the MENA region at LogRhythm. “Our platform detects emerging threats and neutralises them quickly and efficiently.”

Businesses operating within the Middle East are growing increasingly aware of the new threat landscape associated with digitisation. To bolster their cyber security capabilities and elevate the protection level of their critical information infrastructures, many are looking to step up their cyber security activities.

“Cyber security is an end-to-end challenge and it needs an end-to-end response. Companies in the Middle East need solutions well aligned with their businesses. Given the rapid growth of the digital ecosystem and connectivity, cyber security solutions need to be efficient, scalable and sophisticated,” adds Dohaji.

LogRhythm's Security Intelligence and Analytics Platform uniquely unifies next-generation SIEM, log management, network and endpoint monitoring and forensics, and advanced security analytics. The security intelligence company will be showcasing at Exclusive Networks Middle East (Hall 1, D1-20), StarLink (Hall 1, D1-1) and Dubai Silicon Oasis (Zabeel Hall, Z-B20).
