Get ready to catch the young champs in action!

Dubai, UAE, October 10, 2016:  What better way to welcome cooler weather, changing colours and shorter days than to celebrate sports and athletics with the community in the open-air in an action packed, fun-filled weekend at the Garden City, Al Ain!

Held in collaboration with United Sports Academy, Al Jimi Mall Sports Fest, also dubbed as the ‘Mini-Olympics', is all set to kick off on Thursday 13th October at 6:30 pm in Al Jimi Mall, Al Ain's first and premier shopping and entertainment destination. 

Under-15 teams from as many as 12 schools within Al Ain will participate in popular sports tournaments, including football, basketball, giant chess, volley ball and table tennis. 

Participating schools include: Al Ain Academy, United Sports Academy, Al Dhafra Private School, Al Khalil International School, Al Ittihad National Private School, Al Nashaa Al Saleh Private School, Alya Private School, Emirates Private School, Al Snawber School, Future Private School, International Private School and Future School.

The opening ceremony will be held in presence of well-known Emirati football players, including well-known Emirati football players, sports influencers and VIPs who will be at the festival to recognize the champions of tomorrow

The event is open to general public and admission is free for all whilst visitors can participate in a quiz competition to win attractive prizes. 

The winners of Al Jimi Mall Sports Festival will be decided through a points scoring system and will be announced by November 11th ahead of the UAE National Sports Day 

Location:
All matches will take place at a sports arena set up outside Al Jimi Mall's east entrance.

Dates and Timings:
(October 13th) The Launch Ceremony
The Launch starts at 6:30 PM. Matches will start at 7:00 PM
Other Matches will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, between 5pm to 8pm at the arena.
