June 23, 2016: In line with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, Dabur International recently organised a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Dubai Blood Donation Centre, the UAE's major blood bank founded in 1986. Over 30 employees participated in the drive that was held with the aim to provide sufficient supply for the country's blood banks.

Dabur's blood donation campaign falls in line with the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme through which it encourages all its employees to be more responsible community members and actively participate in volunteering and philanthropic activities to make positive impact to the society. Since the shell life of blood is only 42 days, blood donation should be an ongoing process as it can provide assistance to patients, especially in emergency cases such as victim of road and burn accidents; thalassaemia, cancer or open-heart surgery patients; and women with maternity health complications.
