Samsung Launches Training Academy for Local Partners

Mobile Partner Training Content and Accreditation System to Benefit Local Businesses

Dubai, UAE, May 24, 2016:   Samsung Gulf Electronics has announced the launch of the Mobile B2B Academy that will host dedicated training content and an accreditation system that will help both associates and external partners grow their business knowledge, develop technical expertise and identify new opportunities.

Accessible through a mobile application, desktop or tablet, the tiered point-based program with online resources allows users to receive support to ensure continued growth in the competitive business market. The platform, easily accessible on mobile, uses self-guided learning resources for partner education on Samsung B2B products and solutions, including Samsung KNOX security and Mobile Care. The portal delivers greater interactivity and tracking of product certifications, professional development, sales and marketing training.

Mohammed Gharaibeh, Head of B2B for Imaging & Mobility (IM) Samsung Gulf Electronics commented, “We are committed to developing long-term, trust-based relationships with partners to optimize partner capabilities in order to drive our mutual success in today's increasingly competitive market. We extended the platform to applications on mobiles due to their ubiquity and the increased capabilities of today's smartphones. Our training programs have consistently given us a competitive advantage to provide the best technology solutions and support to help our customers succeed in a rapidly transforming enterprise environment.”

Covering case studies, solutions, product information and technical specifications, the platform also offers trainees and partners unique benefits based on training performance and unique reward schemes to motivate and boost sales capabilities for Samsung products. Users earn Elite points after each course completion. Each trainee must acquire 5,000 Elite points and score at least 80 per cent to pass the accreditation test. There are 52 modules that run to 13 hours and 20 min in entirety, allowing one to accrue 10700 points over time. 13 of 52 courses are mandatory covering 2900 points. There are also 39 additional courses to choose from. Following the successful completion of the course, trainees can carry the emblem of certified salesperson. Three of the trainees achieving the highest record of sales will be honored in a top-gun ceremony in Korea in May 2017.

Partners can login with their credentials at http://mobileb2bacademy.com/ to access modules of the program. In 2014, Samsung Gulf Electronics launched the Samsung Team of Empowered Partners (STEP), an enhanced channel program that provides Samsung's expanding partner network with the resources and support needed to drive growth and improve their bottom lines. The STEP program is organized into four tiers of support and assistance based on sales volume and type of partner, which range from national solution providers to system integrators. Each tier offers a unique mix of benefits across areas including sales enablement, marketing, technical support and training. With this new categorization, Samsung ensures each partner receives targeted and relevant benefits that match their individual business needs.
