Until now there has been no formal, globally recognised training available in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for those wishing to pursue a career in the wedding industry and event as a wedding planner, event planner, stylist or designer. The Academy is delighted to announce the launch of their Arabian Wedding Academy offering UK Regulated courses across the UAE.
A career in Event Management is the career of choice for many young people. Events such as meetings, trade shows, weddings and social events contribute to this multi-billion dollar industry, which is still growing rapidly. It's no wonder that event management and wedding planning are some of the most demanded skills today! In a recent report on career opportunities, U.S. News & World Report ranked Event Planning in the Top 50 Careers across all professions.
The courses are offered by e-learning using the latest technology across a variety of mediums including video, audio and written text. Students can log into their virtual campus from anywhere in the world and access course materials, submit assignments, network with other students and get support from their tutors. The courses are recognised worldwide throughout the industry and include an Advisory Board of 29 wedding and event professionals who are all experts in their field. These include Dubai based wedding planner Clare Ebbs from Aghareed, Abu Dhabi based event planner and stylist Mennat Al Hammami from Cloud Nine and Dubai based wedding bloggers Rhiannon Downie-Hurst from BrideClubME and Joelle Clute from My Lovely Wedding.
CEO of the Academy Kylie Carlson said: “I am excited to bring our courses to the UAE as the hospitality industry is growing incredibly quickly in the GCC region and the need for qualified professionals is high. Our courses will not only give our students the skills they require to have a successful career, but will also teach them how to market themselves, use social media from a sales perspective and understand how to run a business. With the Expo 2020 around the corner there are more opportunities than ever and those with a recognised qualification will have an advantage.”
