Dubai, April 28, 2016:  Emirates Post Group has implemented a smart HR system to enable staff to access all employee-related services with ease, including submitting of applications and requests and checking the status, via smartphones. This is in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to deploy smart apps in government organisations and help make HR procedures faster and user-friendly.

The hallmark of the new system is easy-to-use self-service for accessing all e-services offered by the system which is equipped with latest advanced tools for follow-up services and handling complaints and queries from employees. He said the launch of the new smart HR system represents a major step for EPG's HR Department in switching from traditional ways to modern and smart apps and electronic platforms. This way, HR can focus more on more critical responsibilities and thus boost employee satisfaction.

EPG Chief Support Services Officer Mr. Sami Al Khaja explained the new HR system allows employees to access via smartphones HR rules and regulations, find out leave balance, submit requests for vacation, apply for air tickets, and submit requests for general letters and salary certificate. It also provides access to salary details and history, list of medical clinics and hospitals under the health insurance scheme, registration for training courses, applying for employee ID card and updating marital status, in addition to checking the progress of requests submitted to department heads.

He added that in the next phase, HR will launch online training, KPI stages, HR questionnaires, news and circulars from human resources, in addition to special sections for Positive Tips, Knowledge Corner and updates on strategic partners, as well as smart apps for survey on career engagement to boost training participation.
