The event, which was organised by the HHC's championships department, was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, the chief executive officer (CEO) at HHC; Souad Ibrahim Darwish, the Director of Championships at HHC; Ibrahim Abdul Rahim, the Director of Events at HHC; Mohammed Abdullah bin Dalmook, the Director of Corporate Support at HHC and Fatma Arif Al Bannay, the Manager of the Media Office and Al Oula radio station at HHC.

It was primarily a team-building exercise among the Center's employees, with competitions, games and a celebratory dinner prior to the commencement of the actual ceremony itself.

In his speech, His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook said: “The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center plays a pivotal role in organising top class heritage based championships that maintain and sustain our rich Emirati heritage by attracting all segments of society and young people in particular. We always follow the very best practices, which is why we like to recognise the first-rate endeavours of our employees and empower them accordingly.”

Souad Ibrahim Darwish, the Director of Championships at HHC, added: “As the 2016 season has now come to an end, we're taking this opportunity to recognise our staff and thank them for their often unseen and tireless work around the clock. We've all enjoyed a really constructive and fruitful working relationship over the course of this campaign and long may that continue in the years to come.”
