[Manama, Bahrain], March 30, 2016: Hani Nofal, Vice President at Gulf Business Machines (GBM), the region's number one provider of IT solutions, outlined the importance of innovative leadership in an increasingly connected world at the 45th edition of International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) yesterday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel - Diplomatic Area, Manama, Bahrain.
Nofal's speech; “Innovative leadership in the new Internet Era” provided HR and training professionals from across the region with insight into modern leadership from one of the GCC's most influential businesses. Over 500 guests attended this year's IFTDO, including experts from Saudi Aramco, Batelco, Coca Cola Middle East and many others.
A highly regarded multinational training and development organization, the IFTDO hosts an annual conference linking HR professionals in corporations, universities, and governments from across the globe. Hosted by the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD), this year's 45th edition marked the IFTDO's first exhibition in Bahrain and the GCC region.
Commenting on the event, Nofal remarked: “It is an honor to have been invited to participate and be featured alongside such distinguished speakers at the 45th annual IFTDO. Events like this allow us to highlight the growing impact technology and digitalization are having on our societies by reshaping the way today's workforce works and even thinks, and how leaders can address this new frontier.”

Hani Nofal is Vice President of Intelligent Network Solutions (INS) at GBM, and is responsible for leading the INS organization across the Gulf and Pakistan. He is also in charge of leading the GBM Cyber Security Practice across the organization. Prior to joining GBM, Hani was Cisco's Senior Regional Manager and has held several roles in global organizations including Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, and 3Com.
