Dubai, UAE, March 7, 2016:   Dubai Customs partakes in The Cargo Show MENA 2016 as a strategic partner. The show is the region's leading mega event for cargo and shipping industry. Dubai Customs' active participation is in line with its sustained approach of bolstering means of cooperation with the cargo and logistics industry. 

The event is held under the honorary patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs during 8 – 9 March 2016 at Dubai World Trade Center. 

HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, will be a keynote speaker on the second day of the event at the “Leading the race to a seamless, integrated trade corridor within GCC” session, presenting Dubai Customs view on the means of advancement towards the creation of an integrated trading corridor amongst the GCC states. The keynote panel will also feature key figures and officials from government authorities and international experts. 

Humaid Al Rashid, Director – Air Customs Centre Management, Dubai Customs, will join a session on ‘Routes, regulations and infrastructure', where he will deliver a presentation with in-depth overview of measures to be taken towards harmonizing air cargo regulations to improve the efficiency of air cargo shipments.

Dubai Customs participation extends to cover an advanced pavilion showcasing its major Customs and commercial services, particularly in support of the cargo sector, such as the Virtual Corridor and the recently introduced Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program which is a crucial component of the Dubai Customs efforts in support to the global supply chain as per the WCO's SAFE Framework.

The Cargo Show MENA 2016 brings together over 300 participants of supply chain managers, freight forwarders, infrastructure operators and equipment suppliers along with government officials from more than 22 countries; all under one roof with the aim of providing  innovative, actionable and practical strategies to this field. The cargo show is expecting to receive over than 6000 visitors in two days.
