Dubai, UAE, January 28, 2016:  Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) – which manages Al Mawakeb Schools and International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) - was a prominent and active participant at the 4th annual Harvard Model Congress held recently at the American University in Dubai. Over 100 student delegates from all AMSI schools attended this prestigious event.

Organized by Harvard College Model Congress Middle East, a student organization at Harvard University, the event aims to hone leadership skills in students whilst increasing their awareness on global social and political issues. It is one of the largest conferences of its kind in the Middle East.

“The Harvard Model Congress not only gives students a glimpse into the actual challenges facing the UN and the world at large, but also encourages them to use creativity and intelligence to devise viable solutions. It serves as an eye-opening experience and teaches that cooperation in the international community is imperative,” said Mr. Reda Jishi, ISAS Model United Nations (MUN) Students Advisor. He added: “We were especially proud of Rami's stirring speech in the closing ceremony for which he received a standing ovation.”

A senior at ISAS, Rami Al Khouri won the Speaker Award for the 2016 conference.

The Harvard Model Congress Dubai offered student delegates an opportunity, over a rigorous three-day long government simulation conference, to discuss topics including foreign relation; government; future leadership; politics; and history, which help students analyze different perspectives critically and network with young minds from around the world.

The AMSI student delegates are a part of the HCM Club and have, in the past three years, won several awards including ‘best delegation'; ‘Honorable Distinction'; and ‘Outstanding Delegation' awards.
