China Homelife Exhibition 2015 opened its doors to visitors with a grand inauguration by H.E. Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality at Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition which will take place on December 8 – 10, has six separate pavilions that showcase Textile & Garments, Furniture, Home Electronics, Building Materials, Lighting and Household Articles & Gifts with over 1300 exhibitors. Also present at the inauguration were H.E. Li Lingbing, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai and Ms. Zhang Yi, Commercial Counselor, Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai.

In its sixth year, the exhibition has grown in strength not only in exhibitor numbers but has also seen a phenomenal increase in the products being showcased with a total of up to 50,000 numbers. This year there have been several initiatives by the organizers to ensure greater ease in exhibitor and buyer interactions with a dedicated Match-Making Programme that has been carefully planned to provide smooth communication between suppliers and buyers. The free translation and consultancy services will boost the efforts in conducting business at the exhibition. Besides, the organizers are hosting over 1500 regional buyers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Lebanon that have been chosen through a stringent selection process.

“It is our sincere effort to encourage and boost trade between the Middle East and China and we do our best to raise the standards and quality of the exhibition. This has paid off in the long run and we are now the largest Chinese product sourcing exhibition in the region. Our association with Chinese government associations and organizations reinforces the systematic and strict selection process we follow to ensure that our exhibitors showcase high quality products that can have a direct impact on trade,” said Binu Pillai, Chief Operating Officer, MEOrient International Exhibition.

The 300 strong textile and garment contingent got a special boost this year with the introduction of five fashion shows on the first day of the exhibition. They highlighted the latest trends in textiles and garments and were the launch pad for some of the 2016 fashion collections.

The exhibition is supported by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai and continues to build the trade relations between the Middle East and China.
