Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 1, 2015: The Medical Education Department of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has introduced Arabic courses for non-Arabic speaking DHA employees.

Dr Jamila Al Shaikh, Director of Medical Education Department, said: “ This is the first of several training courses that will be held for non-Arabic  speaking employees. The idea behind this  initiative is to promote the use of Arabic within the workplace.”

In the first phase, the aim is to reach out to more than 200  non-Arabic speaking medical professionals and support service staff.

Al Shaikh said the Arabic courses will help them learn the basics of conversational Arabic so that they can communicate with their colleagues and patients in Arabic.
