Oaxaca FilmFest Hosts Workshop with Sundance Institute #ArtistServices Program

Sundance Institute will bring #ArtistServices workshop to Oaxaca FilmFest New Industry during Oaxaca FilmFest 6.

Oaxaca, Mexico - 5 August 2015 - The International Film Festival Oaxaca FilmFest announced today that they will host a Sundance Institute #ArtistServices workshop focusing on business tools for independent creators during Oaxaca FilmFest this October.

The #ArtistServices workshop will be hosted at Oaxaca FilmFest New Industry during Oaxaca FilmFest 6. This portion of the 9 day Festival is popular amongst filmmakers navigating the changing business of independent film.

Through online resources, live workshops, and a network of allied organizations, #ArtistServices provides support, insights and tactics for creative funding, marketing, and independent distribution focusing on the business of creative control.

For the past four years, Sundance Institute's #ArtistServices program has offered filmmakers and producers an intensive series of workshops across the United States. These daylong events, often produced in tandem with the program's allied organizations, offer training and debate between industry leaders, insights into distribution trends and analysis of new technologies. Workshops have been held in Park City, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, and Miami.

Oaxaca FilmFest is passionately committed to providing audiences, filmmakers, and screenwriters around the globe with excellent and unique cinematic experiences and education.

This will be the sixth edition of what Indie Rocks called 'A new star is born in the Film Festival Universe' and what MovieMaker Magazine named as one of their top 50 Festivals for two of the last five years.
