The Role - Implement and monitor project Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) plans in line with company and regulatory requirements - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures - Identify potential hazards, carry out risk assessments, and implement control measures - Ensure all site activities comply with local HSE regulations and company policies - Conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings, and inductions for site personnel - Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions - Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to promote a strong safety culture - Maintain accurate HSE documentation, reports, and records - Monitor use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety protocols across site - Support emergency response planning and ensure readiness on site
Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field - Proven experience working with a main contractor is essential - Minimum 5+ years of HSE experience within the UAE construction industry - Experience on Majlis, villa, or similar residential/cultural projects is preferred - Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required - Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Currently based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate
