The Role The Traffic and Stakeholder Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all traffic-related activities and stakeholder communications associated with bridge operations and maintenance projects. The role ensures minimal disruption to public mobility while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly those of Roads and Transport Authority. Key Responsibilities Traffic Management: Develop, implement, and monitor Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) for bridge maintenance and rehabilitation works. Coordinate road closures, diversions, and lane management in compliance with RTA standards and project requirements. Ensure safe and efficient traffic flow during maintenance activities. Liaise with internal teams to align maintenance schedules with traffic constraints. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders including government authorities, consultants, emergency services, and the public. Manage approvals, permits, and NOCs from relevant authorities. Conduct stakeholder meetings and ensure timely communication of project updates and traffic changes. Handle public relations and address complaints or concerns related to traffic disruptions. Coordination & Compliance : Ensure all activities comply with RTA guidelines, HSE standards, and contractual obligations. Coordinate with enforcement authorities such as Dubai Police and Dubai Civil Defence for traffic safety and emergency access. Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with approved TMPs. Reporting & Documentation : Prepare traffic impact assessments, reports, and stakeholder communication logs. Maintain records of approvals, permits, and coordination activities. Provide regular updates to senior management on traffic and stakeholder matters.
Requirements Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum 812 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with strong exposure to bridge construction and maintenance projects. Mandatory experience working on projects with Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai. Proven experience in traffic management and stakeholder coordination for major road/bridge projects. Strong understanding of TMP design, traffic diversion planning, and regulatory approval processes. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong knowledge of Dubai traffic regulations and permit systems. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a high-pressure environment. Problem-solving mindset with strong planning and coordination abilities. Proficiency in reporting and documentation tools.
