The Role We are currently supporting a well-established engineering and infrastructure organization in the UAE that is looking to hire a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their design team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in geotechnical design and analysis, particularly within infrastructure and large-scale construction projects. About the Role As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering advanced geotechnical design solutions, supporting complex projects, and providing technical leadership within the team. Key Responsibilities Perform geotechnical analyses including: Slope stability Foundation design (shallow and deep) Retaining structures Settlement analysis Ground improvement techniques Prepare: Geotechnical design reports Technical proposals Construction specifications Lead geotechnical design aspects of projects Conduct risk assessments related to soil and groundwater conditions Ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Participate in design reviews and client presentations
Requirements To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria: Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering Strong experience in design and analysis (not only site supervision) Experience working on infrastructure, buildings, or heavy civil projects Proficiency in geotechnical software such as: PLAXIS 2D / 3D WALLAP Settle3D or similar Strong knowledge of: Soil mechanics Foundation engineering Ground improvement Experience in project leadership and team mentoring Strong communication and reporting skills Preferred Qualifications Chartered Engineer (CEng), PE, or equivalent Experience in large-scale or complex projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
