The Role The Opportunity We are a leading FMCG distribution firm in Dubai, managing a diverse portfolio of international food and beverage brands. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a high-energy environment where you’ll get hands-on experience in supply chain finance, inventory management, and regional trade accounting. Key Responsibilities • Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process invoices, verify delivery notes against purchase orders, and follow up on aging payments with retailers and supermarkets. • Inventory Accounting: Reconcile physical stock levels with system records; assist in monthly stock takes at our distribution centers. • Expense Management: Review and process employee reimbursements and petty cash transactions. • Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements. • VAT Compliance: Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT filings in accordance with UAE FTA regulations. • Reporting: Support the Senior Accountant in preparing monthly P&L statements and variance analysis reports.
Requirements Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. • Experience: 2- 5 years of experience in accounting (internship experience in FMCG or Logistics is a major plus). • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle, or Tally). • Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT laws. • Communication: Fluent in English (both written and verbal). • Mindset: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight month-end deadlines.
