The Role We are currently recruiting a Senior Accountant for a construction contracting company based in Dubai, UAE. The role will be responsible for managing financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting controls, and supporting finance operations within a project-based construction environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and working closely with project teams to ensure financial transparency and cost control. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly closing process and financial reporting Maintain general ledger accuracy and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash position) Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance Coordinate with cost control and project teams Monitor working capital, receivables and payables Support audits and maintain strong financial documentation
Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 610 years of accounting experience Experience in the construction / contracting industry Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting Experience with VAT and UAE Corporate Tax Experience with QuickBooks preferred Strong analytical and communication skills
