The Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team specializing in substation and overhead transmission projects. Based in Kuwait, you will play a pivotal role in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality electrical infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for substation and overhead transmission projects. - Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of project timelines and resource allocation. - Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders. - Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in project schedules and propose mitigation strategies. - Lead and mentor planning team members to enhance overall team performance and capability. - Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout project execution. - Utilize planning software tools effectively for accurate forecasting and reporting. - Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to synchronize project activities and deliveries.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in planning and scheduling within EPC projects, specifically in substation and overhead transmission sectors. - Proven track record in leading planning teams and managing complex project schedules from initiation to completion. - Strong proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of industry standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to electrical infrastructure projects. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. - Valid membership with KSE is mandatory
