Dubai, UAE, 11 February 2022: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, takes part as a gold sponsor in the 24th edition of the Arab Nations Basketball Championship, a regional basketball championship for men of Arab world. The championship was kicked off this week in Dubai and will run until February 16, 2022, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. The UAE, as the host country, will participate in the championship along with Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Somalia, to compete for the Cup.
The tournament was launched bearing the name of an outstanding leadership figure beloved to the people of the Emirates, late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and comes in remembrance and honor of his charitable deeds, and to commemorate his generosity and goodness.

Bin Shafar added that the gold sponsorship is under Empower's strategy to support various social and youth activities at the state level, as part of the company's social and national responsibilities.
