Uniting the World Through Education: Maverick Business Academy's 10th Annual Graduation

Dubai, UAE | 22 November 2025 : Maverick Business Academy London UAE proudly hosted its 10th Annual Graduation Ceremony at the iconic Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, celebrating a decade of academic excellence, leadership development, and global entrepreneurial achievement.

The event brought together graduates from over 30 countries, highlighting Maverick’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and transnational education, in alignment with global DEI and B Metrics. The graduating cohort represented a truly international community, with students hailing from Japan, Myanmar, Switzerland, Ghana, the Gulf region, Latin America, and beyond. Distinguished scholars, researchers, authors, senior corporate executives, and entrepreneurs convened to honor graduates across doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s programs, all of whom earned internationally accredited qualifications.

In recognition of exceptional societal and entrepreneurial contributions, Maverick, in collaboration with its academic partner Rushford Business School, Switzerland, awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Entrepreneurship & Humanities to Mr. Cao Zhenfeng, Chairman, President, and CEO of Beifang Group of Companies, China. The honor was graciously received by his daughter, Ms. Bella Cao, who also attended as Royal Guest of Honor, adding distinction and elegance to the ceremony.

The evening also celebrated global leadership through the presentation of Maverick Exemplary Service Excellence Awards to eminent international figures, including:

• H.E. Marie Ndjeka Opombo, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the UAE
• Dr. Murat Akkaya, Vice-Chancellor Global, Girne American University International Consortium
• Dr. Kiryl Rudy, Former Ambassador of Belarus to China and Chief Government Relations Officer, Andersen Lab Europe
• Mr. Clint Khan, Director, Y-Axis Middle East & Canada

The ceremony was also attended by distinguished university officials, including:

Held under the theme “Serve to Lead,” the ceremony reinforced Maverick’s philosophy that impactful leadership is grounded in service, ethical responsibility, and societal contribution. Graduates were encouraged to lead with empathy, integrity, and a commitment to global progress.

Maverick’s role in bridging academia and industry was highlighted through partnerships with institutions such as Rushford Business School, Girne American University, IAU, and the University of Buckingham, along with its network of 12 Maverick Access Points worldwide, providing accessible and industry-relevant education.

Addressing the elite audience, Dean,Group CEO and Founder Mr. Fazil Sheikh shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey, which began at age 23, and reaffirmed Maverick’s mission to empower learners with future-ready skills, driven by innovation, compassion, and service-oriented leadership.
