Azza Fahmy Jewellery capsule collection inspired by El Sett - a tribute to Umm Kulthum

This December marks a significant cultural moment with the release of El Sett, the highly anticipated film directed by Marwan Hamed, and starring Mona Zaki commemorating the legacy of Umm Kulthum fifty years after her passing. Azza Fahmy Jewellery is proud to play a key role in bringing her story to life on screen, creating bespoke jewellery pieces featured throughout the film, including meticulous replicas of her iconic designs and era-inspired creations that reflect the elegance of her time.

Working closely with the filmmakers, the house also contributed curation and consultation to ensure authenticity and artistic integrity, making this collaboration a natural continuation of Azza Fahmy's long-standing admiration for El Sett and her enduring influence.

In celebration of the film's release, Azza Fahmy Jewellery also presents a special capsule collection inspired by Umm Kulthum's timeless legacy. Drawing on decades of creative inspiration from her music, presence, and poetry, the collection builds on the house's heritage of storytelling through design, including the iconic "ÃäÊ ÚãÑí – My Eternity" calligraphy. Through masterful craftsmanship, signature twisted wirework, and evocative lyrics rendered in precious metals, the capsule honors a cultural icon whose voice, elegance, and emotional resonance continue to inspire generations across the Arab world and beyond.

The Suma Chandelier Earrings reinterpret Umm Kulthum's signature dangling silhouettes with graceful, elongated lines crafted in 18kt gold and sterling silver. The design features Azza Fahmy's signature twisted wirework, a technique perfected in our Cairo workshop since the 1980s. At the centre, the iconic "ÃﻧÊ ﻋﻣÑí – My Eternity" calligraphy becomes a symbol of lasting admiration, echoing the timeless romanticism of her music.
