Sharjah, 19th April 2022: The 32nd Sharjah Ramadan Festival is currently underway, with preliminary indications from the event's organizer, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), showing significant growth in sales and a rebound in the markets since the festival's launch two weeks ago.
The festive atmosphere, various promotions, and entertainment events drew thousands of tourists, visitors, and shoppers to the emirate, eager to take advantage of the fantastic deals and heavy discounts of up to 75 percent on a wide range of products, raising hotel occupancy rates and retail sales to unprecedented levels.
"Sharjah Ramadan Festival is the country's most prominent shopping event during the holy month of Ramadan. We are pleased with the event's success and the positive impact it has had on the emirate's economic sectors, which is in line with the vision of the wise leadership, which aims to make Sharjah a preferred destination for tourism, living, and working.” said Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, General Coordinator of the Festival.
Jamal Saeed Buzanjal, assistant general coordinator of the festival, also said that the recreational and fun activities and events organized by shopping centers in various regions of Sharjah drew a large number of visitors.
Visitors and shoppers can still take advantage of appealing marketing campaigns and promotional offers. For instance, at Sahara Centre, two luxury Toyota Land Cruiser cars and AED 100,000 in shopping vouchers will be raffled off to 10 lucky winners.
Furthermore, in collaboration with Al Rabia FM, gifts will be distributed to shoppers on specific days. Oasis Mall announced that shoppers will receive double points when they spend a certain amount of money, while City Center Sharjah announced raffle draws for a Suzuki Jimny, in addition to many prizes and valuable offers in the markets throughout the holy month.
The SCCI's field visits to participating shopping centers and shops revealed a high level of satisfaction with the positive impact of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival on their sales and business volume during the first two weeks.
The festival's impact on the increasing number of visitors and volume of sales in many shopping centers, as well as the hospitality, retail, and event sectors in general, among others, have become apparent.
Moreover, the shopping malls also anticipate that the next few days will see remarkable activity in the run-up to Eid Al Fitr, which will benefit retail sales and occupancy rates in hotels and other tourist services.
