Obituary of Joseph Calafato, former Principal of Wesgreen

GEMS Education and Wesgreen International School leaders and community are mourning the passing of former Principal Joseph Calafato this week. Mr Calafato was a highly skilled and experienced educator who significantly influenced the lives of thousands of students and professionals in the UAE and around the world. He served as Principal of Wesgreen from 2003 until 2019. Under his outstanding leadership, the school rose to prominence and grew in size each year, while upholding a mission of offering high-quality education to every child. Mr Calafato was passionate about school improvement and focused his thoughts on each student's academic success and wellbeing. All our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Calafato's family and the Wesgreen Community at this sad time.”
