Rabdan Academy Launches Activities and Events to Enrich Innovation Month 2020 and Highlight Student Creativity

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 06 February 2020: Rabdan Academy, specialized in safety, security, defense, emergency readiness and crisis management sectors, is participating in the UAE Innovation Month 2020 initiative, the largest national event to celebrate innovation and innovators, under the theme "The UAE Innovates in Preparation for the Next 50 Years". The academy's participation will include several workshops and events to shed light on its unique and sustainable experience in preparing generations specialized in security and safety and capable of protecting the UAE and its national gains.
Over the course of five days, the academy organizes various events and activities that highlight student creativity and innovation and presents its latest educational tools and aids. The Academy will also showcase the utilized technology to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge and help them perform their professional tasks in the future.
On February 3rd, the Academy organized a workshop on sustainable development goals in cooperation with experts from the National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop was attended by Academy students, employees and professors. Participants worked in groups to find solutions to five sustainability challenges in line with the academy's keenness to support the national strategy to realize the SDGs. On February 4th, the Academy organized the "Rabdan Innovation Day" event aimed at highlighting the latest technologies and modern innovations. The event included presentations of virtual reality technologies and drone applications.
A discussion session will be held on February 6th with students participating in the UAE Innovation Month 2020 to discuss the latest global security and safety educational programs and tools to motivate students, faculty and the administrative body to exchange knowledge and ideas and find innovative solutions for challenges they face.
