29% of students achieve maximum A* grade with 58% securing A*/A grade
Dubai, UAE: (September 12, 2017): Repton School Dubai, part of Evolvence Knowledge Investments (EKI) and a partner school of the renowned Repton School in the United Kingdom, celebrated its best ever results, with 29% of all students achieving the maximum A* grade and 58% of students securing A*/A grade in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination for 2016-2017.
In terms of the overall results, another significant feature was that 81.5% of the results were graded at B or above surpassing KHDA‘s benchmark in determining outstanding attainment which is anything over 75%. While just over a quarter of the 123 pupils achieved 9A*-A grades or more, there were several students who managed to distinguish themselves with stellar individual results with two students who got all A* grades and two other students who achieved 9A* and 2A grades.
“I am truly delighted with these impressive IGCSE results and it’s very good to see that the hard work of pupils and teachers have been rewarded,” said David Cook, Headmaster, Repton Dubai. “These results are a reflection of the quality of relationships between our teachers and pupils, which have contributed to the setting of extremely high personal targets. It is also particularly gratifying to have the opportunity to mould and bring out the true potential of our pupils which can only happen through providing the best teaching and learning environment. These results show that everyone can achieve something special here at Repton”.
