First UAE University to Join UN Network : Ajman University

Ajman University has been a leader of progress in the educational arena since its inception, with as much pride as privilege we announce that a formidable partnership has been forged with UN this comes under the umbrella of UN Habitat, the partnership between UN and universities worldwide.
Ajman University faculty and students have always strived to be the trailblazer of sustainable development in the Emirates of Ajman and across UAE through their community based initiatives, projects and researches.
Dr. Gisela Loehlein, Consultant, Internationalization Department and faculty member, College of Engineering at Ajman University further elucidated, “Ajman University is the first university in United Arab Emirates to enter this network of higher educational institutions. Around 100 highly reputed educational hubs are currently part of this network. The UN selects its partners solely based on their specializations and academic achievements along with their positive contribution to the environment and community around them”.
This network will connect Ajman University with the esteemed network of academic partners giving it access to the extensive publications, data products, scientific information, internships, training and resource tools available across the interdisciplinary establishments. Joint ventures such as symposia, workshops, development of programmers and exchange of expertise on common platform is also on the agenda for mutual cooperative measures
This marks the point of internationalization of the UAE educational sector spearheaded by Ajman University. Establishing a new era of academic development for other universities in the UAE to follow.
