UAE, November 1, 2016 - The Emirates College for Management and Information Technology (ECMIT), a leading private higher educational institution, extended a warm welcome to the new batch of freshmen enrolled for the autumn semester during an orientation held recently at the Globe Theater within the school grounds. The orientation featured a full day of activities developed to help acquaint the students with exciting activities they can expect from the institution and introduce notable people within its administration.
The event started off with a commencement address given by Dr, Ismail Al Ani, Dean of Academic Affairs. In his speech, Dr. Al Ani introduced the ECMIT programs and the responsibilities of the student advisors towards helping achieve excellence in academic services. The students were then presented with the college's new IT services along with the essential information required in doing registration and admission procedures. In addition, students were also introduced to the new Happiness and Positivity Division by its Manager, Maryam Salari, who also heads the Student Affairs department. The newly opened Happiness and Positivity Division was established by the school's administration as a show of its commitment and support for the happiness initiative of His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Prof. Abdul Sattar A. Al-Alusi, President and CEO, ECMIT, said: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome the young minds that are set to embark on an exciting academic journey this year. This orientation serves as the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and we are all here to remind them that we will be there to help and support them in every stage. We hope their time here will be challenging, fruitful and effective in shaping them to be the future leaders in their field,”
